.NET Software Engineer

About the role

The .NET Software Engineer designs, develops, tests and maintains high-quality software solutions that support IQVIA's healthcare technology platforms. The role spans front-end and back-end application layers, troubleshooting technical issues and contributing to platform improvements in scalability, performance and user experience. It involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and support of strategic product development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain software applications using .NET technologies.
• Take part in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and support.
• Develop and maintain front-end user interfaces and backend application components.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve application defects and performance issues.
• Review functional specifications and turn business requirements into technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable code following established coding standards.
• Create and run unit tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with product, implementation and engineering teams, take part in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes and tools.
• Prepare technical documentation and support platform modernization and enhancement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2-3 years of professional software development experience using .NET technologies.
• Experience with web-based applications and database-driven systems, and exposure to the full software development lifecycle.

Required skills

• C# and ASP.NET/.NET Core.
• Object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• SQL databases and efficient query writing.
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript and responsive web development.
• REST APIs and web service integration.
• Git or another version control system.
