Network Administrator – LAN/WAN & Security

About the role

The Network Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, monitoring, and securing the organization’s network infrastructure. This role ensures high availability, performance, and security across LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
• Monitor network performance, availability, and security, and implement routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, STP, HSRP, LACP, and VLANs.
• Administer LAN, WAN, Internet connectivity, and VPN services, and manage firewalls, content filtering, and other security solutions.
• Analyze capacity and performance, recommend improvements, and perform upgrades, patches, and change implementations.
• Maintain network monitoring and alerting systems, document diagrams, configurations, procedures, and asset inventory.
• Support disaster recovery planning, business continuity, and provide technical support to help‑desk teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 3–5+ years of network administration experience.
• Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills.
