Pastry Chef

About the role

The Workshop Eatery is seeking a passionate Pastry Chef to lead daily baking operations at its Central Kitchen in Jhamsikhel. You will work in a fast‑casual restaurant environment, creating a wide range of pastries, breads, and desserts while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and produce pastries, breads, desserts, and baked goods according to standardized recipes.
• Ensure consistency in taste, texture, appearance, and presentation across all products.
• Plan and manage daily production schedules to meet operational demand.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot bakery equipment safely.
• Control all stages of production, including mixing, fermentation, proofing, laminating, baking, and finishing.
• Develop, test, and introduce new recipes and seasonal offerings.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and quality control standards.
• Minimize waste through accurate portioning and proper storage.
• Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and ingredient ordering.

Required profile

• At least a +2/Diploma in a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• 2‑5 years proven experience in baking or pastry production.
• Mid‑level professional able to lead a team and contribute ideas.
