People Operations Associate

About the role

EB Pearls is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented People Operations Associate to support the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of its People Operations department in Kathmandu. The role suits someone building a career in human resources with hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee engagement and development. It reports to the People Ops Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with end-to-end recruitment, including job analysis, sourcing, screening, selection and onboarding of new hires.
• Facilitate onboarding and offboarding so new and departing employees have a smooth transition.
• Support employee engagement initiatives such as events, surveys and activities.
• Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS, generate reports and keep data accurate.
• Support performance management, including updating metrics, supporting reviews and addressing performance issues.
• Manage compensation and benefits administration, including payroll coordination, leave management and benefits events.
• Coordinate with external vendors for employee gifts and milestones.
• Support training and development programmes, in-house and off-site.
• Manage the company's social media platforms, create content, develop a posting calendar and promote branding.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in BBA/BBS; a specialization in Human Resource Management is preferred.
• Entry-level candidates are open, with around 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in the software development business is preferred.
• Knowledge of personnel administration principles and practices.
• Strong commitment to the organisation's values, policies and culture, with accuracy, timeliness and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Nepali and English, oral and written.
• Email, scheduling and office applications.
• Experience with online HRMS tools.
