Project Manager - Hydropower

About the role

Raman Construction is looking for a dynamic, highly qualified professional to lead the upcoming hydropower project at the Bheri Babai Diversion site. The role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of complex hydro‑mechanical structures from mobilization to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise construction of headworks, tunnels, surge shafts, and penstock systems.
• Develop comprehensive project schedules and Work Breakdown Structures using MS‑Project.
• Conduct resource and financial analysis for remote hydro sites, including cost‑benefit assessments.
• Implement rigorous quality control and safety programs for underground and riverine works.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, clients, and suppliers to ensure technical milestones are met.
• Prepare budget estimates, track costs, negotiate contract revisions, and manage agreements with electromechanical suppliers.
• Identify and mitigate risks such as weather delays, flooding, geological surprises, and site accidents.

Required profile

• Strong background in construction planning, project execution, and contract administration within the hydropower sector.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience (180 months) in large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for geological and construction challenges.
