Project Officer – Community Health Implementation

About the role

The Project Officer will be responsible for the direct, day‑to‑day implementation and monitoring of project activities at the ward and community levels in the assigned Rural Municipality. The role works closely with government health facilities, community health structures and local stakeholders to deliver high‑quality RMNCAH, mental health and GEDSI interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Execute field‑level activities according to the project design and annual work plan, providing technical support to health facility committees, health workers and FCHVs.
• Facilitate and monitor community‑based engagement such as Health Mothers’ Group sessions, male engagement dialogues and school‑based ASRH sessions.
• Coordinate outreach clinics, morbidity camps and ensure inclusive, accessible service delivery.
• Prepare activity plans, fund requirements and timely reports, supporting municipal planning and budgeting.
• Strengthen referral systems, support MSS assessments, facility improvement plans and supervise quality improvement processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Social Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years experience in community‑based health program implementation in rural Nepal.
• Experience with RMNCAH, community mobilisation, primary healthcare and working with FCHVs, HMGs and local government bodies.
