Regional Team Leader – Trade Facilitation Programme

About the role

The International Trade Centre (ITC) is seeking a Regional Team Leader to manage the day‑to‑day coordination and implementation of its Trade Facilitation Programme for South Asia. Based in Kathmandu, the role will work closely with ITC headquarters, country teams, EU delegations and regional stakeholders to drive programme outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the regional programme implementation across Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
• Coordinate with ITC technical units, EU delegations and national institutions to ensure alignment with programme objectives.
• Oversee the three programme outputs: EU preferential trade arrangements, EU environmental sustainability legislation, and corporate sustainability due‑diligence standards.
• Facilitate capacity‑building activities for public institutions, business support organisations and SMEs.
• Monitor progress, prepare reports and ensure compliance with EU market‑access requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing multi‑country trade or development programmes.
• Strong understanding of EU market‑access mechanisms (EBA, GSP, GSP+).
• Experience working with public institutions, SMEs and international donors.
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
