Risk Management Subject Matter Expert (Remote Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Risk Management Subject Matter Expert to join our AI data services team on an hourly, remote contractor basis. You will evaluate AI‑generated risk management responses, create high‑quality risk content, and provide precise feedback to improve model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed prompts and gold‑standard outputs covering risk assessments, control mappings, mitigation plans, and risk communications.
• Evaluate and rank AI responses for accuracy, clarity, completeness, and adherence to risk frameworks.
• Identify and document errors in risk identification, assessment methodology, control design, governance, and incident response logic.
• Fact‑check risk and compliance concepts and write clear explanations and model solutions.
• Test AI outputs for unsafe recommendations, bias, and misleading certainty to ensure model integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Law, IT, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in risk management (ERM, operational risk, compliance, internal audit, security risk, third‑party risk, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of risk taxonomy, inherent vs. residual risk, likelihood/impact scoring, control design, KRIs/KPIs.
• Familiarity with risk frameworks and standards such as COSO ERM, ISO 31000, NIST, SOC 2/ISO 27001, SOX.
• Experience with governance processes including risk registers, policy development, risk committees, and executive reporting.
• Excellent written English (minimum C1) and ability to translate complex risk topics into clear, decision‑ready summaries.
