Sales Officer – Territory & Channel Management

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Sales Officer to drive growth and expand our market presence within an assigned territory. You will be responsible for meeting sales targets, building strong relationships with dealers, retailers, and other channel partners, and identifying new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for the territory.
• Develop and maintain relationships with dealers, distributors, retailers, contractors, painters and end‑customers.
• Identify and onboard new dealers and retailers, creating fresh business opportunities.
• Conduct regular market visits to ensure effective territory coverage.
• Monitor stock levels, sales movement, pricing and competitor activities.
• Implement company sales schemes, promotions and market‑development initiatives.
• Coordinate order placement and product delivery with dealers and distributors.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and support collection activities.
• Handle customer queries and complaints, ensuring timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate sales and customer records using CRM/SFA and submit regular reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management or a related field.
• 2–3 years of proven sales experience, preferably in paints, hardware, construction or building materials.
• Strong knowledge of the local market and channel network.
• Target‑oriented, proactive and self‑motivated with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM/SFA systems.
• Strong command of MS Office applications.
