About the role

The Scrap & Heavy Equipment Trading Expert will be based on‑site in Kathmandu, working for a partner company of Career Concept Pvt. Ltd. The role focuses on sourcing, evaluating and negotiating the purchase and sale of scrap materials and heavy machinery, ensuring competitive pricing and reliable supply for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source scrap materials and heavy equipment from suppliers.
• Inspect equipment and scrap for quality, usability and compliance.
• Negotiate purchase and sale terms, conduct pricing analysis and close deals.
• Coordinate logistics for transportation, delivery and storage.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, transaction logs and regulatory documentation.
• Monitor market trends, price fluctuations and maintain strong supplier‑buyer relationships.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimise trading processes and manage risk.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment and scrap materials, including basic maintenance.
• Ability to perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance assessments.
• Experience in trade negotiation, pricing analysis and inventory management, preferably in scrap, construction or heavy machinery sectors.
• Understanding of safety practices, regulatory requirements and documentation.
• Effective communication and on‑site collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• Relevant technical or vocational training in mechanical, industrial or equipment‑related fields.
