Senior AI QA Engineer

About the role

Anchor Points is seeking a Senior AI QA Engineer to join its Kathmandu office. This senior, strategic, and hands‑on position will shape quality assurance across web, AI‑powered, and data‑intensive projects, ensuring releases meet the highest standards of accuracy and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage QA strategies, test plans, and release‑readiness criteria for multiple concurrent projects.
• Lead the full QA lifecycle, from test coverage planning through defect management, regression testing, reporting, and final release validation.
• Mentor and coordinate junior and mid‑level QA team members, delegating tasks and reviewing work to maintain consistent standards.
• Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and product owners to identify quality gaps, investigate root causes, and improve development processes.
• Perform manual, exploratory, API, integration, regression, and automated testing, including validation of AI‑generated outputs for accuracy, relevance, consistency, reliability, and hallucinations.

Required profile

• Proven senior or lead QA experience with responsibility for defining QA strategies across multiple software projects.
• Strong ability to create independent test strategies, risk‑based testing approaches, and release criteria.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and reviewing QA team members.
• Hands‑on expertise in functional, regression, integration, API, exploratory, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Experience testing AI‑powered or data‑intensive applications, including prompt validation and handling edge cases.
