Stewarding Supervisor

About the role

The Stewarding Supervisor will lead the back‑of‑house cleaning and sanitation team at Crowne Plaza Kathmandu Pulchowk. You will ensure that all kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware are ready for the Culinary and Food & Beverage operations, supporting the delivery of exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily stewarding activities, guaranteeing efficient cleaning, sanitation and availability of all serviceware.
• Coach and motivate stewarding staff to uphold high standards of hygiene and operational discipline.
• Organise dishwashing and cleaning schedules to meet the needs of culinary, banquet and F&B departments.
• Coordinate with Culinary, Banquet, Engineering and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor cleanliness of kitchens, back‑of‑house areas, equipment, floors and storage spaces.
• Manage proper handling, storage and care of kitchen equipment and supplies.
• Oversee inventory of cleaning chemicals, stewarding equipment and supplies, ensuring correct usage and safe storage.
• Support waste segregation, recycling and disposal in line with hotel and local regulations.
• Conduct regular checks for compliance with food safety, health, safety and chemical handling standards.
• Assist in set‑up and execution of banquets, conferences, weddings and special events.
• Allocate daily duties, monitor attendance and ensure adequate staffing across shifts.
• Identify equipment or operational issues and liaise with relevant departments for resolution.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and coaching to improve operational standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher qualification in Hotel Management or related field.
• Proven experience supervising stewarding or back‑of‑house teams in a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene, sanitation and food safety standards.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments.
