Modern Trade Sales Officer – Manufacturing (Kathmandu)

About the role

The Modern Trade Sales Officer will drive sales growth for a manufacturing company by managing relationships with supermarkets, retail chains, and modern trade outlets in the Kathmandu region. You will ensure product availability, optimal shelf presentation, and execution of promotional activities while meeting assigned sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business with modern trade customers, including supermarkets and retail chains.
• Ensure regular product availability, proper display, visibility, and merchandising at all assigned outlets.
• Achieve monthly sales targets and distribution objectives.
• Take orders and coordinate with internal sales, distribution, and dispatch teams for timely delivery.
• Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, returns, damages, and promotional schemes at outlets.
• Implement company‑approved promotions, trade offers, and merchandising standards.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and outlet performance reports.
• Track competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and market trends.
• Follow up on payments and credit outstanding according to company policy.
• Visit assigned outlets regularly to identify growth opportunities.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in FMCG or modern trade sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑management abilities.
• Target‑oriented mindset with willingness to travel within the assigned area.
• Valid two‑wheeler license preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel for reporting and data analysis.
