People & Culture Trainee

About the role

World Vision International Nepal is offering a one‑year People & Culture (HR) traineeship for recent Nepali graduates. The role provides practical experience across the HR function, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, and engagement activities, while contributing to the organization’s mission to support vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain digital staff files and ensure accurate documentation of the full employee lifecycle.
• Support onboarding and exit processes, preparing letters, certificates, and other HR paperwork.
• Coordinate recruitment activities, schedule tests and interviews, and conduct pre‑employment checks.
• Assist with candidate communication, including regret letters and status updates.
• Administer written assessments, ensuring confidentiality and proper coding/decoding of answer sheets.
• Support orientation for new hires to be completed within 45 days of start date.

Required profile

• Recent graduate from a Nepali university.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation accurately.
• Good communication skills for interaction with candidates and internal stakeholders.
