Sales & Marketing Specialist – Carrying & Customs

About the role

The Sales & Marketing Specialist – Carrying & Customs will generate new business for Niyantara by promoting our carrying and customs‑related services. You will build relationships with importers, exporters, traders and corporate clients, turning leads into long‑term logistics contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential clients for carrying and customs services.
• Develop contract‑based carrying business, managing freight, transportation, delivery and logistics operations.
• Generate leads through field visits, networking, referrals and direct marketing.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, customs parties, freight partners and business networks.
• Coordinate client requirements with Customs, Freight, Transport, Documentation and Operations teams.
• Prepare and negotiate service quotations, rates and contract proposals.
• Follow up on leads, quotations, negotiations and pending opportunities.
• Monitor competitor rates, market trends and customer needs.
• Ensure proper handover of confirmed business to Operations.
• Achieve monthly sales, revenue and new‑client targets.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, meetings, quotations, contracts and sales activities.
• Prepare regular sales and marketing reports for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience in customs, freight forwarding, carrying, logistics, transportation or B2B sales preferred.
• Good understanding of import/export and logistics processes.
• Strong communication, negotiation, networking and client‑handling skills.
• Excellent field sales and business development ability.
• Target‑oriented, proactive and self‑motivated.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and field visits.
