Senior Travel Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Travel Consultant to lead outbound holiday enquiries from initial consultation through itinerary design, booking and after‑sales support. The role blends travel operations, sales, client relationship management and mentorship of junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Handle end‑to‑end outbound holiday enquiries, including consultation, itinerary design, costing, booking and after‑sales support.
• Design customized international itineraries covering flights, accommodation, tours, transfers, insurance and visa requirements.
• Coordinate with airlines, hotels, DMCs and other suppliers to secure rates and confirm bookings.
• Maintain accurate booking documentation, invoicing, payments and collections.
• Assist clients with flight changes, emergencies, itinerary adjustments and other travel‑related issues.
• Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings through consultative selling and follow‑up.
• Achieve individual and team sales/revenue targets.
• Train, mentor and support junior team members, reviewing their itineraries and quotations.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, checklists and training materials.
• Prepare regular sales and pipeline reports and keep CRM records up to date.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in outbound travel, holiday packaging or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of international destinations, airfare ticketing, visa processes and travel documentation.
• Proven track record in travel sales and client relationship management.
• Experience training or supervising junior staff.
• Bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business or related field preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GDS/booking systems.
• Experience using CRM tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
