Account Officer

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Account Officer to join our Finance & Accounts team. The role will manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance and provide actionable insights to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations and general accounting activities.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports and other financial records on time.
• Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts and conduct variance analysis.
• Monitor cash flow, expenses and financial commitments to support planning.
• Lead cost‑control initiatives and identify efficiency improvements.
• Review and enhance accounting processes, controls and workflows.
• Ensure compliance with Nepalese tax regulations (VAT, TDS, Income Tax) and manage related filings.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support internal/statutory audits.
• Identify financial risks and implement internal controls.
• Supervise and mentor the Finance & Accounts team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Commerce or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA or ACCA is an advantage.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, audit or a similar role.
• Previous experience supervising a team and handling financial reporting, budgeting and tax compliance.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting.
• Budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and cost control.
• In‑depth understanding of Nepalese tax regulations (VAT, TDS, Income Tax).
• Audit procedures and internal control frameworks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting software.
• Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements and management reports.
