Article Trainee – Audit & Taxation

About the role

We are seeking motivated Article Trainees to join our chartered accountant firm in Kathmandu. The role offers hands‑on experience in audit, taxation and accounting across diverse industries, under the guidance of senior professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in statutory and internal audit assignments for various clients.
• Prepare audit working papers and perform basic audit procedures.
• Support vouching, verification, analytical review and financial statement preparation.
• Help with tax computation, tax return preparation and other compliance tasks.
• Collect, organize and analyse financial information from clients.
• Communicate with clients to obtain required documents and information.
• Maintain audit documentation in line with professional standards and firm procedures.
• Participate in internal training to develop practical audit, tax and accounting knowledge.

Required profile

• CAP‑2 or Application Level passed under ICAN.
• Good understanding of accounting and basic auditing concepts.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities with attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn, take responsibility and work as part of a team.
• Professional attitude, integrity and commitment to the CA profession.
• Ability to work full‑time from our Kathmandu office.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Proficiency in other MS Office applications.
