Category Manager – FMCG & Quick Commerce

About the role

We are looking for an execution‑focused Category Manager to own the commercial performance of assigned product categories. You will drive brand acquisition, manage corporate partnerships, and curate inventory based on real‑time market trends, bridging procurement and technology.

Key responsibilities

• Source, build and manage relationships with FMCG suppliers, distributors and manufacturers.
• Audit supplier catalogs, select high‑demand SKUs, negotiate pricing, bulk discounts and exclusive placement terms.
• Benchmark competitor pricing in Kathmandu Valley’s quick‑commerce ecosystem and adjust prices dynamically.
• Track inventory metrics, forecast demand and prevent stockouts or overstocks.
• Collaborate with the tech team to feature high‑converting categories, flash sales and targeted promotions on mobile apps.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in category management, retail buying, strategic procurement or commercial merchandising within Nepal’s FMCG, organized supermarkets, e‑commerce or quick‑commerce sectors.
• Strong corporate communication and presentation abilities.
• Data‑driven mindset with the ability to analyse consumer behavior and market trends.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets.
