Head of Maintenance & Electrical Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a senior leader to head the Maintenance and Electrical Engineering function for a flour manufacturing plant in Birgunj, Nepal. The role ensures reliable plant operations, drives continuous improvement, and supports expansion projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall maintenance and engineering function to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Oversee maintenance of production machinery, electrical systems, utilities, and factory infrastructure.
• Ensure efficient utilization of plant resources while maintaining operational continuity.
• Coordinate with production and other departments to support uninterrupted manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with electrical, engineering, safety, and statutory requirements.
• Lead and mentor the maintenance team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, plant efficiency, and cost optimization.
• Monitor maintenance performance, engineering documentation, and asset reliability.
• Support plant expansion, equipment installation, and engineering improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in maintenance and engineering, preferably in flour milling, food processing, FMCG or manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading plant maintenance and engineering teams.
