Modern Trade Sales Officer (Manufacturing)

About the role

The Modern Trade Sales Officer will drive sales growth for a manufacturing company by managing relationships with modern trade outlets, supermarkets and retail chains in the Kathmandu area. This role focuses on ensuring product availability, optimal merchandising, and achieving sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business with modern trade customers and outlet managers.
• Ensure regular product availability, proper display, visibility and merchandising at assigned outlets.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and distribution objectives.
• Take orders and coordinate with sales, distribution and dispatch teams for timely delivery.
• Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, returns, damages and promotional schemes at outlets.
• Implement company‑approved promotions, schemes and trade offers.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales and outlet performance reports.
• Track competitor activities, pricing, promotions and market trends.
• Follow up on payments and credit outstanding according to company policy.
• Visit assigned outlets regularly to identify growth opportunities.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in FMCG or modern trade sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑management abilities.
• Target‑oriented, energetic and willing to travel within the assigned area.
• Valid two‑wheeler license preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.
