Outbound Holiday Specialist – International Travel

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Outbound Holiday Specialist to manage international holiday enquiries from initial consultation through itinerary design, booking, and after‑sales support. The role blends travel operations, sales, client relationship management, and coordination with suppliers while mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Handle end‑to‑end outbound holiday enquiries, including consultation, itinerary design, costing, booking, and after‑sales support.
• Design customized international itineraries covering flights, accommodation, tours, transfers, travel insurance, and visa requirements.
• Coordinate with airlines, hotels, international suppliers, and Destination Management Companies to obtain rates and confirm bookings.
• Maintain accurate booking documentation, invoicing, payments, and collections.
• Assist clients with flight changes, emergencies, itinerary adjustments, and other travel‑related issues.
• Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings through consultative selling and effective follow‑up.
• Achieve individual and team sales/revenue targets.
• Train, mentor, and support junior staff; review their itineraries and quotations for accuracy.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, checklists, and training materials.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in outbound travel, holiday packaging, or a related travel role.
• Strong knowledge of international destinations, airfare ticketing, visa processes, and travel documentation.
• Proven experience in travel sales and client relationship management.
• Experience training, mentoring, or supervising junior team members.
• Bachelor's degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GDS/booking systems.
• Experience using CRM tools.
