Project Supply Chain Officer

About the role

World Vision Nepal is seeking a Project Supply Chain Officer to manage procurement and logistics for its programmes in Bardibas, Madhesh Province. The role ensures that goods and services are sourced, purchased, and delivered efficiently to support child‑well‑being initiatives. This is a one‑year fixed‑term position based onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Develop procurement plans and sourcing strategies aligned with project needs.
• Conduct market assessments, pre‑qualify suppliers, and lead RFQ/RFP processes for assigned categories.
• Negotiate contracts and secure best value for money while complying with grant procurement requirements.
• Coordinate with the Logistics team to ensure safe delivery and receipt of ordered materials.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitor contract performance, and handle contract close‑out or renewal.
• Prepare procurement committee documentation, including quotations, sealed bids, and verification reports.
• Maintain master data in the supply chain (SCAI) system and update commodity catalogues.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or logistics, preferably in the humanitarian or non‑profit sector.
• Strong knowledge of procurement regulations and grant compliance.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team and travel within the project area as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the SCAI supply chain management system.
