Senior Communications Associate

About the role

The Senior Communications Associate will shape how the organization is presented across its website, newsletters, social media, events, and media outlets. Working closely with field teams, you will create authentic, engaging content that highlights daily impact and advances sustainability awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the annual communications strategy and translate it into monthly and quarterly action plans aligned with business goals.
• Identify compelling stories and ensure the organization’s impact reaches target audiences.
• Maintain and update the website, including project pages, impact metrics, blogs, and reports, while collaborating with developers to improve functionality.
• Create engaging newsletters that showcase achievements, partnerships, projects, and the people behind the work.
• Build and nurture relationships with journalists, coordinate interviews, draft press releases, and monitor media coverage.
• Track communication metrics such as website traffic, social media engagement, newsletter performance, and campaign reach, and produce regular insight reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in communications, branding, public relations, or digital marketing.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling abilities adaptable to multiple platforms.
• Experience managing websites (WordPress preferred) and familiarity with LinkedIn marketing.
• Background in NGOs, sustainability initiatives, CSR programs, or environmental organizations is a plus.
