Software Engineer II – Data Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our Data Engineering team. The role focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines for a US‑based retail business, supporting data loading, transformation, and reporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data loading and merging processes using MS‑SQL and SSIS.
• Create and automate reports that provide actionable insights on retail data.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends and support business decisions.
• Collaborate regularly with stakeholders in Nepal and the United States to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Maintain version control using Git and Bitbucket and write automation scripts with PowerShell.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Exactly three years of professional experience in data engineering or SQL development.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS‑SQL and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Advanced Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting.
• Familiarity with Git and Bitbucket for source control.
• Knowledge of Python is preferred.
