Staff Nurse

About the role

The Staff Nurse provides direct patient care in a clinical setting, supporting doctors and ensuring smooth operation of health services. This role involves coordinating appointments, assisting with procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records while upholding privacy standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate patient appointments and follow‑up visits as needed.
• Support health camps, vaccination programs, and outreach activities.
• Assess vital signs, medical history, and presenting complaints.
• Prepare patients for examinations, investigations, and procedures.
• Deliver nursing care according to established clinical protocols.
• Assist physicians during consultations and minor procedures.
• Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, nebulizations, vaccinations, and wound dressings as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate nursing records, including vital signs, medication administration, and treatment details.
• Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Address patient concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.

Required profile

• Diploma in Nursing (PCL Nursing) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing).
• Valid Nursing License/Registration with the Nepal Nursing Council (NNC).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Availability for both morning (7:00 AM – 1:30 PM) and evening (1:30 PM – 8:30 PM) shifts.
