Travel Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer‑focused Travel Consultant to join our team in Kathmandu. You will help clients plan and book domestic and international trips, providing expert advice and ensuring a smooth travel experience from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with clients to understand travel requirements, preferences, and budgets.
• Plan and arrange holidays, flights, accommodation, tours, transfers and travel packages.
• Provide professional advice on destinations, itineraries, travel requirements and available options.
• Prepare customised itineraries and quotations.
• Make and manage bookings using airline, hotel, tour operator and travel booking systems.
• Coordinate changes, cancellations, refunds and other travel‑related requests.
• Maintain accurate customer records and booking information.
• Stay updated on airline schedules, promotions and industry developments.
• Assist customers before, during and after their trips and resolve issues professionally.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, airlines, hotels and other partners.
• Follow company policies, Australian consumer protection requirements and travel industry regulations.
• Achieve individual and team sales and customer service targets.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience as a Travel Consultant, Travel Agent or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Australian and international travel destinations.
• Experience with flight, hotel, tour and holiday package bookings.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously.
• Sales‑oriented mindset with the ability to identify customer needs.
• Australian travel industry experience is preferred.
