Accountant – Finance & Accounting

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Accountant to maintain and update our financial records, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and support the finance team with accurate reporting. The role involves handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks and collaborating with auditors, banks, and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update books of accounts and accounting records.
• Record daily sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
• Prepare and maintain vouchers, invoices, bills, and supporting documents.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist in preparation of financial statements and audit schedules.
• Maintain proper documentation for audit purposes.
• Calculate and assist with VAT, ETDS, and other applicable tax filings.
• Monitor cash flow and maintain petty cash records.
• Verify invoices and supporting documents before payment.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, customers, and relevant authorities when required.
• Ensure accounting records comply with company policies and applicable laws.
• Perform other accounting and finance‑related duties assigned by management.
