Area Service Engineer

About the role

The Area Service Engineer oversees the performance and quality of all authorized service centers within a designated region. The role ensures consistent technical support, operational efficiency, and high customer satisfaction while complying with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and support daily operations of all authorized service centers in the region.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify compliance with policies, processes, and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting assistance, and training to service technicians and workshop teams.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly and escalate critical issues when needed.
• Collaborate with service center managers to boost productivity, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Track spare‑parts availability and coordinate with internal departments to minimise downtime.
• Perform service audits, prepare inspection reports and recommend improvements.
• Manage warranty claim processes ensuring adherence to company policies.
• Analyse service performance data, identify improvement opportunities and report to management.
• Maintain clear communication on service updates, technical bulletins and new product information.
• Enforce safety regulations and keep workshops clean and organized.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in automobile service operations or workshop management.
• Experience with authorized service networks is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repairs and maintenance.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service‑management systems.
• Valid two‑wheeler driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
