Assistant Account Manager – Manufacturing

About the role

The Assistant Account Manager will support the finance team of a manufacturing company in Kathmandu. This position focuses on vendor payments, expense processing, and monthly reporting while ensuring compliance with accounting policies.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and process employee expense claims and reimbursements within defined turnaround times.
• Prepare and coordinate weekly local vendor payment plans and ensure timely execution.
• Compile and submit monthly MIS reports for the company.
• Conduct semi‑annual balance confirmations with local vendors and maintain reconciliation records.
• Follow up with customs authorities, law firms, and other relevant agencies as required.
• Review vendor and staff advances to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate with internal departments and vendors regarding outstanding payments and supporting documents.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of invoices, payment records, and reconciliations.
• Assist the Account Manager with month‑end closing, reconciliations, and other accounting activities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Perform additional finance and accounting duties assigned by the reporting manager.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Semi‑Qualified CA acceptable).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting/finance, preferably as a senior accountant.
• Experience in multi‑branch operations and MIS reporting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting controls, compliance, and financial reporting.
