Early Years In‑Charge

About the role

The Early Years In‑Charge will lead daily operations of the Early Years Programme at Genius IB World School, ensuring alignment with the school’s vision, IB philosophy and international accreditation standards. This position blends classroom teaching with pedagogical leadership, mentoring educators and fostering an inclusive, inquiry‑based environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Guide implementation and continuous development of the IB PYP framework for Early Years, emphasizing inquiry‑based and play‑based learning.
• Conduct classroom observations, provide constructive feedback, and lead collaborative planning and professional‑development sessions.
• Ensure classroom environments, lesson delivery and assessment practices meet school standards and accreditation requirements.
• Act as primary contact for complex parent inquiries, lead admissions orientations and facilitate workshops on early childhood development and the IB framework.
• Oversee section schedules, resource allocation, budget planning for classroom materials and transition protocols for children moving into higher grades.
• Deliver inquiry‑based lessons that promote social‑emotional, cognitive and physical growth in line with IB standards.
• Implement hands‑on, play‑based activities and formative/summative assessment strategies, documenting progress on school reporting platforms.
• Foster positive behavior management and self‑regulation strategies to maintain an inclusive, emotionally secure classroom environment.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years experience in early years or primary education.
• Familiarity with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teaching staff.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with parents, staff and prospective families.
