Human Resources Officer

About the role

The Human Resources Officer will manage day‑to‑day HR operations, ensuring full compliance with Nepal’s Labour Act and related regulations. This position serves as the primary contact for employee relations, statutory compliance, and HR administration.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Labour Act, Labour Rules, Social Security Fund, Bonus Act and related statutes; prepare and submit required government reports.
• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, draft compliant employment contracts, and conduct onboarding and orientation.
• Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and generate HR reports on staffing, attendance, and compliance.
• Support monthly payroll processing, administer benefits, verify attendance and leave data.
• Handle employee queries, grievances, disciplinary procedures, and termination processes in line with statutory requirements.
• Coordinate training programmes, maintain training records, and conduct performance appraisals.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives and maintain HR information systems.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Nepal labour law and statutory compliance.
• Excellent organizational, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Effective communication skills in Nepali and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with HR/payroll software.
