Leads & Inquiry Officer

About the role

The Leads & Inquiry Officer is the first point of contact for prospective students who reach NEC through walk‑ins, phone calls, messaging apps or email. The role bridges the Marketing team that generates leads and the Counselling team that converts them, ensuring each inquiry is qualified before hand‑off.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to inbound inquiries via walk‑ins, calls, WhatsApp/Viber messages and email.
• Provide accurate information on study destinations, university programmes and IELTS services.
• Ask structured questions to assess the seriousness and suitability of each inquiry.
• Decide whether to close an inquiry or pass it to a Counsellor with a clear summary.
• Log every interaction and outcome in the tracking sheet or CRM.
• Follow up on quiet inquiries and escalate high‑value or unclear cases.
• Share regular reports on inquiry volume and lead quality with the Marketing team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Nepali and English.
• Comfortable handling phone, live‑chat and messaging platforms, especially WhatsApp/Viber.
• Good judgment to differentiate genuine study‑ready inquiries from low‑intent contacts.
• Ability to manage multiple inquiries simultaneously without missing follow‑ups.
• Team player who collaborates well with Marketing and Counselling teams.
• Prior experience in an education consultancy, call centre or customer service is a plus.

• Salary range NPR 35,000–50,000 per month (gross).
