National Consultant – EmONC Prioritization & Investment Report

About the role

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Nepal is seeking a National Consultant to lead the development of a comprehensive EmONC (Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care) prioritization and investment report. The consultant will conduct cost‑savings analysis and gap costing to inform strategic investments in maternal and newborn health.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the National EmONC Prioritization and Investment Report based on national data and stakeholder inputs.
• Perform cost‑savings analysis to identify efficient allocation of resources.
• Calculate gap costing to highlight funding shortfalls and prioritize interventions.
• Prepare concise briefing documents and presentations for UNFPA and government partners.
• Coordinate with technical teams and health officials to ensure data accuracy and relevance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in public health, health economics, health policy, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in health financing, cost analysis, or health systems research.
• Demonstrated ability to produce high‑quality analytical reports.
• Strong written communication skills in English.
