Payment Recovery Officer (Food Industry)

About the role

The Payment Recovery Officer will support the Legal Manager in securing overdue payments for a food industry company based in Kalanki, Kathmandu. This role involves direct interaction with customers, sales teams, and internal departments to ensure timely collection and resolve payment disputes.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up with customers via calls and meetings to recover overdue payments.
• Execute payment recovery strategies as directed by the Legal Manager.
• Coordinate with sales, customers, and relevant departments to address payment issues.
• Assist in initiating blacklisting procedures for chronic defaulters according to company policy.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for legal recovery cases.
• Track recovery cases, monitor legal notices, and ensure timely follow‑up.
• Maintain accurate records of communications, recovery status, and legal proceedings.
• Prepare periodic reports on outstanding payments and recovery progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Management, Business Administration, Finance or related field (or a running Bachelor’s degree).
• At least 1 year of experience in payment recovery, collections, legal coordination, or accounts receivable.
• Valid two‑wheeler driver’s license.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with legal, sales teams and customers.
• Willingness to travel for customer visits and recovery activities when required.
