Plant Operator & Shift In-charge

About the role

InfraPro Construction is looking for a responsible Plant Operator and Shift In‑charge to manage plant operations, ensure smooth production, and maintain safe and efficient functioning of hydropower equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor turbine‑generator units and associated hydropower plant systems during assigned shifts.
• Perform plant start‑up, shutdown, synchronization, loading, unloading and normal operating procedures.
• Monitor plant operations via SCADA, PLC and HMI control systems, including turbine governing, excitation, protection and auxiliary systems.
• Operate the 132 kV switchyard, handling transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, CTs and PTs/CVTs.
• Identify and respond to alarms, trips, faults and abnormal conditions, and coordinate initial troubleshooting with maintenance teams.
• Supervise operators, technicians and maintenance personnel, ensuring safe and reliable operation of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and auxiliary systems.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, generation records, equipment status and shift reports, and communicate observations to management.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in plant operation, shift management, equipment monitoring and troubleshooting (minimum 3 years).
• Ability to supervise and coordinate operators, technicians and maintenance staff during shifts.

Required skills

• SCADA, PLC and HMI control system proficiency.
• Turbine‑generator operation and generator control knowledge.
• 132 kV switchyard operation, including transformer and circuit‑breaker handling.
• Fault identification, alarm management and troubleshooting skills.
