Senior Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to lead the design, implementation and maintenance of our security controls. You will work closely with the SecOps team and other departments to embed security across all processes and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain security controls and counter‑measures.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging threats, trends and best practices.
• Collaborate with SecOps and other teams to integrate security into processes.
• Drive adoption of security tools, automation and processes.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures and documentation.
• Perform security assessments, vulnerability scans and penetration testing.
• Lead incident response and investigations.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Mentor junior SecOps engineers and contribute to team improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in security engineering, cloud infrastructure or a related field.
• Strong understanding of security principles and industry best practices.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring security teams.
• Excellent analytical, communication and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection systems and encryption technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting languages and development frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerisation technologies.
• In‑depth knowledge of security regulations and industry standards.
