Student Counselor for International Education

About the role

The Counselor will guide students in Kathmandu through academic and career planning, helping them select suitable international study destinations, programs, and institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct one‑on‑one counseling sessions with students and parents.
• Explain admission and visa procedures and assist with documentation, application forms, and interview preparation.
• Maintain clear communication, provide regular updates on application status, and address concerns.
• Support information sessions, workshops, and outreach activities.
• Keep accurate records and stay updated on international education trends, policies, and compliance requirements.

Required profile

• Strong student counseling and advisory skills, including academic planning and career guidance.
• Excellent spoken and written English and Nepali, with strong presentation and interpersonal abilities.
• Organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines.
• Knowledge of international education systems, admission requirements, and basic visa and compliance procedures for major destination countries.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, social sciences, management, or related field; counseling certification is a plus.
• Prior experience in educational consultancy or student counseling is preferred.

• Basic computer and digital literacy.
• Proficiency with office software, email, online forms, and video‑conferencing tools.
