Area Sales Manager – Healthcare Industry

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will drive sales, market share and team performance for pharmaceutical and healthcare products across the assigned territory, engaging with doctors, hospitals, pharmacies and distributors.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales, collection and market‑share targets.
• Prepare sales plans, forecasts and territory routes aligned with company strategy.
• Lead, coach and supervise sales officers, set targets and KPIs, and conduct joint field visits.
• Build and maintain relationships with doctors, specialists, hospital management and pharmacy owners; organise doctor visits, CMEs, medical camps and product launches.
• Manage distributors, stockists and wholesalers, overseeing appointments, performance, stock levels and credit limits.
• Ensure compliance with company policy, ethical marketing practices and Nepal’s Department of Drug Administration regulations.
• Report sales performance, competitor activity, pricing, market feedback and adverse events to management.
• Manage the area budget and promotional spend within approved limits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development or area/territory management, preferably in hospital, IVF, fertility or healthcare sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation, leadership and relationship‑building abilities.
• Target‑oriented with good market knowledge, analytical skills and willingness to travel within the territory.
• Experience in B2B sales, lead generation, client acquisition and team leadership; MR experience is a plus.

What we offer

• Monthly salary between NRs 60,000 and 70,000.
